My Message of the Month
Who You Really Are.
Do you have your costume yet?
Since the 1700's most of America celebrates All Saints Eve on October 31st.
People attend parties, go house to house collecting candy and some dress up as either their ultra ego or a super hero.
This is not always an easy task, it can be become very painful trying to find just the right character to emulate.
It can be difficult becoming a person you admire if it is not naturally who you are.
In every day life we are taught how to be, what to be and where to go to find happiness. Many struggle in search of their direction on the chart of how to be happy when the blueprints come from the perspective of others.
How less complicating it would be if everyone were conditioned to hear what the heart has to say and then follow that path of truth to find true happiness.
In the physical, so many of us believe that when someone is considered to be successful in life, that person should be our role model to success. As well, there are those that tell us they have found financial bliss and how you can achieve it. And of course, there are those that know how to fall in love and have a lasting relationships. All you have to do is become like them.
Reality is that those who trust themselves and listen to their inner being will find everything that they desire in life. Yes, reading about it can be helpful to get you to a place of either desire or trust, but it still has to come from within to work for you. Settling is delaying your true self-growth which of course depletes the amount of happiness in your life. Why would you like to just kind of be happy when you can be totally happy?
There is no one in the world like you. Yes, you may have similarities, maybe share the same genes, but never will there another you. Since there is no one like you, there can be no one as special as you.
Once recognizing how individual and unique each of us is, begins an awareness which ultimately takes us to a place of unconditional love.
Love energy is our natural state of being.
When you desire to be like someone other than yourself, you begin to put masks on. You may look, walk and talk like them, even maybe attempt to think like them, but you will not vibrate like them. What you vibrate comes from the heart and that is what you will attract in return.
Staying in the moment and believing in your passion will attract opportunities that will take you where you desire to be.
I am and had always desired to be a designer. When I was a small child Leonardo DaVinci, Adrian, Kandinsky and Fred Astaire always inspired me. I had no desire to be like them, but I always allowed them to inspire me. In my twenties I moved to Los Angeles and needed to find work. I answered an add to teach dance on La Brea Ave in Beverly Hills. When I arrived to the address it turned out to be the Fred Astaire Studios. That really blew my mind to see one of my inspirational gurus plastered all over the walls of the studio. It was really great that I got the position and the opportunity to learn Astaire's dance curriculum.
I then began to compete, teach and had much fun working creatively. Eventually this lead me on a path which brought me to my true passion which was clothing design.
One adventure lead to another and the journey has been challenging, rewarding and loving. Staying in the moment has allowed me to be open to many different experiences and relationships. I am blessed that I chose to be myself wearing my own mask, staying in a place of love and choosing to be content in my moment.
When you start wearing the masks of others, thinking that you will achieve or receive what they have, trying to be like them, remember you are not resonating at the same vibration. So you might obtain what they have, but you will not receive it the way they did.
If you stay in a dark place when you ask, you will receive from a dark place. When you are asking for opportunities coming from a place of jealousy, you will draw jealousy to yourself. Asking for money, wondering why some have more than you, you will be receiving less money. Your focus is resonating on why not, instead of trusting that it will be there when you desire it .
It may be fun to play dress up in your favorite costume, but it is not to your benefit to become the costume. Always stay true to yourself and listen to your best friend, your heart. It will guide you to your true happiness if you are willing to nurture, believe and trust.
Allow those who you admire to be your inspiration and do not attempt to become them. For there is only one you and you will always have that special something that is unique and original. Listen to your heart and have patience while on your path. You will find your yellow brick road to happiness and joy if you just click your heels 3 times and know there is no place like home.
Happy October
In joy,
Dino
