A New Perspective
Do you believe it is now 2018!
I am amazed how things have changed in my life.
I grew up in a modest brick house in Washington DC. In our home we had one bathroom, one telephone, one black and white television, in a wooden cabinet and no air conditioning. There were 5 of us sharing a two bedroom house. My younger brother slept on the main floor across from my parents room, my older brother slept in the attic and when we were not renting out the apartment in the basement I stayed in the bedroom down there.
Like I said we had no air conditioning, and since DC was built on a swamp, summers were not the most pleasant. In the winter my mother always would put a pan of water on the radiators to keep moisture in the air. There were no answering machines, no cell phones, no computers.
Our only source of information came from 3 news stations on TV, radio, the Washington Post news paper and the Encyclopedia Britannica.
When I look back at the simplicity of life and how we lived then and see all of the luxuries from the new technology we have now, I question if things were better in the past or in the present.
Life is about perspective, how we see things. We can say that life 60 years ago was very primitive compared to life today. There are cell phones and machines that give us information just by asking. Television has hundreds of news stations and documentaries that keep us up on both the past and present. Daily we communicate to others without even speaking. You can lock your car and your home while dining in a restaurant, how wonderful is that?
Again it is all perspective. We did not have much money growing up, my father was a barber working 6 days a week his entire married life.
We had no cell phones or video games to play with. We had the grass to run through and trees to climb, no play stations or game houses, only creeks and imagination.
Texting did not exist, only direct contact with each other, a rare phenomena today.
Yes it is all perspective.
My message this month will be short. I was inspired to speak on perspective.
You can look at your cup of life as half empty or half full, it is all perspective.
You can wait your entire life for someone to bring you happiness or you can just be grateful for what you have and find your own happiness.
Always work hard for the money and watch the money go as fast as you make it. Or you can work for your passion, enjoying your time and allowing the money to come from all sources.
Awarding your children all that money can buy, or just take the time to show them how to find their own joy in life.
Tell your children all that matters to you is to make them happy, or find your joy and teach them how they can find their own happiness.
Live your life in the past or do for the future and miss out on all the opportunities in the present.
This is a crazy world and a crazy time. Is it their reality or is it yours?
The choice is up to you.
Do I give others the power by allowing them to dictate how I should be living my life, or should I take back the power and allow myself to live the life that works for me.
Should I feel sorry for the children that are hungry or should I feed them?
Are you angry that the world is not taking care of the planet while you litter ?
All is perspective and all is your choice.
You entered the physical by free will, so you can elect to stay in the light of love, joy and co-creation, or go to the dark side living a life of greed, fear and division.
You can focus on what you do not like or focus only on what brings you joy.
Your call, your choice!
Do you listen to your heart and use your brain, or do you use your brain and ignore your heart?
We have the opportunity to choose what brings us joy, so do we focus on that joy or focus on what we don't want?
In a time of confusion, being unsure of what is going to happen, should we fear or allow?
Stay in a place of allowing and then decide what path you would like to take.
Don't take for granted that “this moment” might be here at a later time.
Stay in the now and be grateful for all the greatness that is around us in this time.
Keep strong in your own individual power and let your heart
tell you how to make things happen in your reality. Focus on what you desire and avoid listening to what is going on around you. Trust in yourself knowing that when you do, you are allowing the Universe to work with you to attain all that you desire.
When those that you are told to believe in, tell us to do things that don't feel right, surround them with love and focus on what your heart believes is right for you.
Things may not change overnight, but when you believe and focus on that belief, you draw to your vibration of like minded people, and things start to transform. Love is from the heart and is a pure vibration. When coming from pure energy, the Universe begins to manifest what comes from that energy. So trust and begin to believe in what your heart tells you to do.
Stay in a place of trusting what you desire and if you find that you are not receiving what you are seeking , change the way that you are asking for it.
As long as you are loving yourself unconditionally, you will resonate that love in all that you do and all that you ask for. It begins with you and how you embrace your joy. When you are in your own joy, you are on your correct path and all will work the way it is meant to be. We chose to come into the physical to enjoy the physical, not to suffer, but to learn. When you experience pain, learn from it and choose to focus on that which makes you happy instead of what hurts. If it hurts, obviously it is not right for you and you need to change your perspective. Don't complicate your life, there are many around you who choose greed, fear and anger that would like you to join them in their misery. Stay in your joy and embrace your power. Let those that choose to suffer draw to their vibration others that want to bathe in their despair.
Stay true to yourself by furnishing your own sandbox and allow the Universe to lead you to your 2018 adventure!
Stay in Light, Love and Happiness!
Happy New Year!
In joy,
Dino
